Photoshop Techniques for PHOTOGRAPHERS Sept 1st-3rd, 2007 "Secrets of the Digital Darkroom!" This stop in our Workshop Series is designed to bring digital photographers into the Digtial Darkroom at Chandler Studios where they can begin to learn those techniques that have proven themselves to be valuable for us as professional photographers. Here students will learn the foundations of Digital Workflow; how to manage your files, how to get your files ready for Photoshop and then the foundations of the Photoshop processes. At the end of this weekend of Photoshop exploration the photographers are better able to find and sort their images, manipulate their images, join images, layer images, stitch images, print images and other proven imaging techniques which will really add a postive and lasting value to thier final imaging products. We have found that learning and applying Adobe Photoshop in the digital darkroom is a must for digital photographers to have in their "bag of tricks." This workshop will give you all of our tricks and provide you the learning platform from which you will be able to build, or improve, your digital darkroom. This workshop size is limited allowing students to learn at the their own pace in a stress free environment. |

Saturday Saturday morning: 11:45 am. We have lunch catered into the Studio. Saturday afternoon: 3pm. YOUR PROJECT. By this time you will be tired of lecture so you will be assigned a photographic imaging project. Something that we hope will be "way over your head" and can be customized to your discernable needs. YOUR PROJECT allows you to be as creative as you can be while learning Photoshop techniques. We are either near, or over your shoulder, helping you create your project. 5pm. Review and wrap up from our first day. 7pm. Steak cookout on the deck. Our suggested time is 7 pm but we are flexible. We are hosting this dinner as a "Welcome to Chandler Studios!" |
Students are not required to own a computer or the Adobe Photoshop Software. We have a full Computer Lab for students in the Studio. Students who own their own laptops and digital darkrooms are encouraged to bring their equipment to the workshop. Printers, paper and ink are also included in the price of your Workshop. |
